Eight Continents Club Organization

06-03-2018 - Por Juan Ricardo Ferrero

Welcome to The Official 7 Continents Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & Ultra Marathon Club; The Official 8 Continents Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & ultra Club; The 8 Continents Marathon Club; and Eight Continents Club

With the additioan of Zealandia as the 8th Continent, we are the first to recognize the addition of this new continent and have consolidated the recognition clubs so you won't have to worry about where to go to be recognized.

We will continue to recognize finishers of The 7 Continents prior to February 17, 2017. Going forward to be recognized as a finisher, you must complete marathons on all 8 Continents -- including Zealandia.

As the governing organization who groups the 6 marathons run in London, Tokyo, Berlin, New York, Boston & Chicago has done, if you ran one of their races prior to being recognized as part of the majors, it will not count towards completion. That is, if you ran a marathon in New Zealand or New Caledonia prior to February 17, 2017 it will still only count as Oceania (i.e., Australia).

As such, it is a race to see who will be the first male and female to complete marathons on all 8 Continent!!

The mission of our organization is to compile the first all-inclusive "Official" list of ALL 7 continent marathon, 1/2 marathon & ultra Marathon finishers. But it's more than that.

We are a non-profit corporation who only wants to compile a complete list of runners who complete running events from Half-Marathon to Ultra Marathons on all 8 Continents

FINISHER AWARDS

We here at The Official 7 Continents Marathon Club, The Official 8 Continents Marathon Club, The 8 Continents Marathon Club & Eight Continents Club, believe that running a marathon on each continent deserves significant recognition and an award that measures up to that achievement.

As such, we've put together an award that we feel captures the magnitude of running a marathon on all 8 continents.

We have now received our first official Finisher's Awards for the 3 new clubs and they are fantastic! See below for the actual awards!!

You can see how they compare in size to the 50 States Finisher's Awards and the 2500th Marathon Anniversary Medal.

RULE CHANGE (effective 6/5/2014): Because we are switching from an annual dues to a one-time enrollment fee, we will no longer be offering complimentary awards.

Awards will be available for purchase at cost. The total cost will be rougly $90, depending on shipping and handling charges.

As you can see these are definitely mantle worthy and significantly better than any simple "finisher" medal.
